Nominations Clarification 2
Feb. 7th, 2021 03:25 pm\o/ So many good tags and only a few clarifications. New items are bolded.
Relationships Slot
Aizawa Shouta | Eraserhead & Class 1-A — As mentioned in clarification 1, is not a crossover relationship but is nominated in Crossover Fandom. Will be rejected soon if the nominator doesn't remove it.
Aphra Marsh & Yith!Catherine Trumbull (Innsmouth) — As mentioned in clarification 1, I'd like the nominator or someone else who knows the fandom (The Innsmouth Legacy - Ruthanna Emrys) to clarify if Yith!Catherine Trumbull is a separate character from regular Catherine Trumbull or if the bang path is being used here the way it would be used in genderbent!Catherine or ghost!Catherine.
Donna Noble (DW) & Creator's Choice of Atlantis expedition member(s) — Nominator I'm 95% sure you mean this to have (SGA) on the end like your other nomination but I feel like there's a chance you were thinking about some other Atlantis expedition so I don't want to fix it for you.
Creator's Choice of Azazel's Special Children (SPN) — Do you want "Solo: Creator's Choice of Azazel's Special Children (SPN)" or "Group: Creator's Choice of Azazel's Special Children (SPN)"? The former will give you a work focused on one of the special children, the later a work focused on two or more.
Freeforms
A Day in the Life of Solo Character — Nominator, I'd like to accept this as "A Day in the Life of Requested Character" unless 'Solo Character' has some meaning I'm not understanding?
Character thinks no one is coming to save them; EVERYONE teams up for the rescue. — Nominator, I went :DDD at this nomination because it smacks me right in the id, but from the perspective of a mod who might have to decide if a fic has adequately shown that "everyone" has teamed up for a rescue in a mere 1,500 words I'm a little unsure at accepting it, especially considering we're not allowing relationship tags like "Character A & Everyone" for pretty much the same reason. I mean, any claim that a work hasn't fulfilled a freeform will most likely involve a subjective mod judgement call and I definitely understand that this is hyperbolic, but if you can think of a slight rephrasing that still gets at what you want from the tag I would appreciate it. Maybe something like "multiple people" or "multiple unlikely fractions" or even something canon-specific? If you can think of something, please comment or email with a link to your noms page. If not, I will eventually accept as-is.

Date: 2021-02-08 12:05 pm (UTC)Btw, I have a question regarding matching. Is it possible for a matching to happen on a solo character but with a freeform that demands two characters? For example, character matching on Solo: character X, but the freeform match is on "Character A and Character B are forced to work together"? What would happen if such a case occur?

Date: 2021-02-08 05:08 pm (UTC)About your matching question: Yes, it's possible for that kind of match to happen because the system can't tell any meaningful difference between the "Solo:" tags and the & tags. Plus, there's pinch hits and treats that don't rely on matching! All gifts need to match one tag from each category in one of the recipient's requests, so if a participant requests "Solo: Character X" and the freeform "Character A and Character B are forced to work together" in the same request, they could recieve a work that involves Character X being forced to work with another character of the creator's choice.
Both requests and offers will allow repeat fandoms, so the way for creators and recips to avoid that kind of thing is to make one offer/request with "Solo: Character X" + tags that work for solo characters and a second request with "Character Y & Character Z" + tags that work for relationships.

Date: 2021-02-08 05:52 pm (UTC)Hi, platonic got added to this tag and I think it changes my meaning a bit. The strange urge to dominate/submit to strangers and people you don't even like can be a big thing in a/b/o. Non-sexual could work okay?
